About Hue
Hue turns color theory into a puzzle. Every arrow slides in one fixed direction until it hits an obstacle, the edge of the board, or another arrow — and when two arrows collide, they don't cancel out, they blend, following the same rules as mixing paint: red and yellow make orange, blue and yellow make green, red and blue make purple. A faint ghost arrow previews the result before you commit, so every tap is a small piece of alchemy rather than a guess.
It's built to be the opposite of stressful. There's no timer, no lives, and no energy system to wait out — just a generous move limit and an instant, free restart if you run out. Under the hood it's a deterministic puzzle engine: all 500+ levels are procedurally generated and solver-verified, so every board is guaranteed to be solvable, and new mechanics — obstacle tiles, sequential gates, locked arrows, double-color gates — unlock gradually as you progress toward the toughest 7×7 "Nightmare" boards.
Hue also plays fair with your eyes: an optional colorblind mode adds a distinct symbol to every color, and you can switch between a soft light theme and a true dark theme at any time. The whole game runs offline, with your progress backed up automatically, so it's just as happy on a plane as it is on your commute.
Why players love Hue
One tap, no drag
Every move is a single tap. Arrows slide on their own in a fixed direction — no swipe gestures to fumble with.
Merging, not matching
When two arrows collide they blend into a brand-new color, and a ghost-arrow preview shows you the result before you commit.
500+ handcrafted levels
Every stage is generated and solver-verified, with new mechanics like obstacles, sequential gates, and locked arrows introduced as you progress.
Daily Puzzle & streaks
A new deterministic puzzle unlocks every day, with a streak counter to keep you coming back.
Colorblind mode, dark & light themes
Optional symbol glyphs make every color identifiable, and you can play in the theme that suits your eyes.
No stress, fully offline
No timers, no lives, no energy system. Failing a level just means a free instant restart, and the whole game works without an internet connection.
